Apple News Finding Switching From In-House to Intel Chips To Mac
Reportedly Apple is reportedly looking at ways to replace the Intel processors in Macs with new chips based on designs used for iOS-based devices. The company had previously been rumored to be contemplating such a move, but Bloomberg reported today that Apple engineers are now more confident in the underlying design of the chips and their ability to design desktop and notebook Macs electricity.

Parties Bloomberg has reported similar changes are planned in the past, in a retrospective reflect years since the death of Steve Jobs'. And about a year ago there were rumors that it was looking for an alternative to Intel as well. Hurdles involved include ensuring that the software works on Macs based on the new processor, when Apple went from PowerPC to Intel transition left many legacy software is not compatible and cause transition problems about porting software.
Apple would also have to be very confident in the strength of their new Intel chipmaking to drop, and this is not something that maybe we will see happen overnight, even now that they have reached more mature with their mobile efforts. I expect Apple to deliver a new architecture with significant OS updates, perhaps an evolution that brought us out of the X-generation OS.
Apple designs based on ARM designs will allow the company to create hardware that could theoretically run cooler with less power requirements are significant, and will make it easier to get the OS X and iOS closer together (likely to want to do it by executive recent restructuring) in the case of cross-compatibility of software and code. But unlike Microsoft, Apple took the long-view approach to the unification of the platform. So once again, it looks like we probably will not see it make its way to the actual delivery of the product for a while, but it will be a big change for everyone involved (Apple, users, developers, and especially Intel) if it comes to pass.
